This RuPaul’s Masterclass Review will show you why this is the best self love course out there.
In this RuPaul’s Masterclass review, you’ll discover the best self love course you need to take now.
Sounds pretty fab, doesn’t it? That’s because it is!
If you’re at a loss as to what to do when you’re at home, look no further. If you can only do one thing, let it be this: fall in love with yourself, completely and fully.
Realise, perhaps for the first time, that you are meant to shine as brightly as the sun.
You’re not meant to fit in.
You’re not supposed to hide your light under a basket.
You are supposed to be you – completely confident and beautiful beyond measure.
Need help accessing that confident, authentic, glamorous, magical you? Then let RuPaul, Emmy-winning performer, drag superstar, actor, and RuPaul’s Drag Race host guide you.
Meet your instructor: Who is RuPaul?
RuPaul Andre Charles, born November 17, 1960, is a bright light and a truly unique voice who transformed the drag subculture into the mainstream.
He’s an American drag queen (considered by many to be the most successful by far), actor, model, singer, songwriter, and television personality who received six Primetime Emmy Awards, in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 for the hit reality competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race.
He comes from a family where his parents are always fighting with each other, which naturally had a negative impact on him. At least, until he discovered that he wanted to be fully present in his own life and embarked on a journey of self love, acceptance and authenticity.
In this online course (possibly the best self love course to date), he shares this journey with you and allows you to learn not only from his words but also from his experiences.
That way, you too, can become as confident and authentic as only someone who understands, accepts and loves himself can be.
The best self love course will teach you to find your frequency.
Humans are social creatures. So, yes, we all want to be accepted, to fit in, to belong to a tribe.
But guess what? As RuPaul says, “I don’t have to like everybody, and not everybody has to like me.“
It’s totally okay not to be accepted, not to fit in and not to belong.
Don’t bother trying to fit a star-shaped peg in a square-shaped hole. It’s not gonna happen and using force could only break both the peg and the hole.
Better to accept and celebrate the difference than force conformity. You’ll be a lot happier when you’re finally free to be yourself.
Cultural lighthouses for the soul
The other side of the proverbial coin in the previous lesson is that no one is truly alone. There will always be someone with whom you’ll share common ground.
Whoever you are, no matter how different or how alone you may feel, someone who will speak to your soul.
Your job now is to find them.
Here, RuPaul talks about the people who shaped his identity and encourages you to do the same – find those people who can become your guiding light as you live a life of authenticity, of self-expression, of bliss.
Cultivating your tribe
“No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main,” wrote John Donne.
And it’s true. If you want to truly live an extraordinarily inspired life, you need a strong support network. But you don’t need everyone to support you. You don’t even need a lot of people.
You just need a special few who will always stand by your side, who will be loyal and who have your best interests at heart.
Here RuPaul talks about finding your mentor as well as your people – your tribe.
I found mine in Jim Rohn, RuPaul, Jack Canfield, Christie Marie Sheldon, Lee Holden and Brad Yates.
It’s time to find yours.
Seeing yourself
Acknowledge your trauma.
Embrace your wounded inner child.
Nurture that part of you that you’ve hidden away beneath layers of shame and guilt.
Only by processing these emotions can you truly let go fo the pain and the darkness that keeps you from shining brightly.
RuPaul helps you navigate this minefield by sharing his own personal childhood trauma.
I suggest you get your Kleenex ready. Sometimes, all it takes is a good long cry and this particular lesson will help you do that.
Bullies and abusers watch out.
Finally learn how to deal with them (online and off), with haters and with people who live to tear you down.
The truth is bullies are bullies because of low self-worth. They feel superior when they can drag you down.
In the Philippines, we call this the crab mentality and many Filipinos sadly believe that it’s a national trait. But it really isn’t because it’s actually a universal trait, shared by every country in the world.
This particular lesson, in other words, is supremely practical because nearly every single one of us has experienced some form of bullying or abuse. I honestly think that this single lesson is worth the price of the whole Masterclass.
Owning the room
When I was a lot younger, I used to join beauty pageants and I owning the room was already a concept then.
Maybe I was too young or too inexperienced but I never quite understood it.
Until now.
As RuPaul puts it, “You weren’t born to fit in, you were born to stand out.“
For many of us, fitting in is all we aspire to be and standing out is a terrifying experience.
In fact, I still remember those moments when I would attend a party only to tuck tail and run as soon as I get to the door and see how many people were attending. I used to need an escort all the time or I wouldn’t go.
If you’re like me, then this lesson will change all that.
There is no such thing as failure and this self love course will show you why.
If there’s one thing you need to remember, it’s this: failure doesn’t exist.
RuPaul describes it as simply an expectation that hasn’t been met and is, in fact, an essential part of self-discovery.
I agree.
You can view failure as a turning point in your life that brings you greater clarity. Do you continue down the road you’re on or do you take another route?
Does the plan you’re following serve you or deter you?
Do you really truly want something or not?
Remember Edgar Guest’s poem, Keep Going:
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must—but don’t you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Proportion and presentation
RuPaul: “You want to make more money? Wear a suit.“
Remember that saying that basically says we need to dress for the job we want, not for the job we have?
Another speaker comes to mind.
Jim Rohn: “Be skillful enough to take care of your appearance in the marketplace. It has a lot to do with your acceptance. A big share of it is how you appear to other people—on the job, performing, company, community.“
You say, well, people shouldn’t judge you by your appearance. Well, let me tell you, they do! Sure, when people get to know you they’ll judge you by more than what they see, but at first they’re going to take a look.“
This lesson will help you present your best self, not only by helping you dress the outside but, more importantly, by helping you strengthen what’s inside as well.
A conversation with RuPaul and Zaldy
In this conversation between RuPaul and his costume designer, Zaldy, you’ll learn how dressing to impress is within the reach of everyone.
As you would’ve learned in the previous section, you only have one chance to make a good first impression.
Make it count.
The big reveal
RuPaul concludes his MasterClass by highlighting the importance of finding your inner truth to live to your full potential, by fully loving yourself so you can fully love another.
It’s a powerful conclusion to a powerful lesson and you will be blown away by the difference this makes in your life.
RuPaul’s Masterclass Review Verdict: This is the best self love course out there!
Okay, RuPaul’s MasterClass – just like anything else – is obviously not for everyone. If you want to learn about self love sans the external trappings of makeup and clothes, then this may not be for you (and I recommend trying Radical Self Love).
But if the thought of immersing yourself in the beauty that is you and making sure that your outside reflects your inside, then you will fall in love with RuPaul’s Masterclass.
Actually, even if you’re not a makeup and clothes kind of person, you will definitely find something powerful here.
In fact, according to one of the students, “RuPaul, in eleven minutes, did more for me than the years of therapy I went through.“
I highly recommend it!
Side Note: There are actually five more lessons following the big reveal that I didn’t write about as they are a bit more make-up intensive and I personally am not much of a make up girl.
I only know one way to put makeup on and I just change the colours. ?
Although, boy, these lessons do make me want to try. So, I might actually dabble with proper makeup once lockdown is over, and I actually can go somewhere with my fully made-up face.
