The best morning meditation obviously depends on a number of factors: what you want to achieve, your experience with meditation, your preference and how much time you have to devote to it. My personal favourite is Lee Holden’s Qi Gong for Health and Healing.
My Top Pick
If you’ve been following our posts, you’ll know by now that we actively recommend adding meditation to your morning routine, especially if you have mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

Also, some of the videos might seem a bit woo for some but I honestly have trialled all of them and found them really effective ?♀️. So, why don’t you try them for yourself and see what happens?
Best active morning meditation: Qi Gong
I love working out and I love meditating but both can take time.
And as a full-time mom running a business from home, time is of the essence. Sometimes I’m just hard-pressed to squeeze in what makes me happy, even with all the time management tricks I have up my sleeve.
Enter Qi Gong.
One of the main reasons I love this routine is that it’s a double win for me: I meditate and work out at the same time.
This specific Qi Gong routine is also particularly helpful if you’re not a morning person and you feel sluggish and tired after waking up. It’s like taking a big dose of caffeine – you perk up almost instantly.
Best manifestation meditation: Blessing Ball of Light
Do you want to manifest something? Then this is the morning meditation for you.
It connects you to the light and to your highest power before helping you clarify everything you want. You then put all these things that you want in one loaded and blessed ball of light and then you send them out into the world.
I always liken it to ordering online from Amazon.
First, you select a product.
Second, you select the specifics of the product – colour, size, quantity, etc.
Third, you place your order.
Fourth, your order is prepared, packaged and then shipped.
Fifth, you wait for delivery.
The difference is, you order with gratitude and faith, knowing that what you desire is on its way to you now. And you have to know it and own it.
Childlike faith is incredibly important. You need to have faith that you live in a benevolent universe that will grant your highest wish without fail.
This is one of my most favourite meditations of all time.
Best chakra meditation: Archangel meditation
This is an absolutely beautiful meditation with music you’ll completely fall in love with and a guided meditation that will appeal to spiritualists who believe in the power of angels.
Again, you might think this a bit too woo for your taste but it also happens to be one of the most effective in my experience.
Something particularly special happens without fail on the days I use this so I really recommend you give it a try.
What have you got to lose?
Best affirmation meditation: I am morning affirmations
If the other meditations are too woo for you, then Jason Stephenson’s I Am morning affirmations might just do the trick.
It contains powerful affirmations that will help you start your day in a powerfully positive state of mind as it helps you focus on the things you want rather than the things you don’t want.
If you can internalise the messages contained in his affirmations, your day will go a lot more smoothly. You will feel completely in control of your life, regardless of what happens around you.
Best obstacle-clearing meditation: Ganesh mantra
Ganesh is the Hindu god known as the remover of obstacles and lord of new beginnings.
According to Gigi Yogini, this particular mantra can be broken down this way:
Om: The sound that represents the birth of the universe and the connection between all living beings.
Gam: The sound of the root chakra thought to awaken energy at the base of the spine. According to Kundalini yoga, Ganesh resides in the first chakra.
Ganapataye: Another name for Ganesh, the deity who removes obstacles. (For pronunciation, watch the video below.)
Namaha: A salutation, similar to namaste.
Every time I use this meditation, it acts as a sort of bulldozer that clears any obstacles from your path.
That’s why I consider it my secret weapon when manifesting anything, but most especially when it’s something big (like a mortgage application, passing an important test, etc).
Chanting this meditation 108 times in the morning is thought to help you remove whatever has been blocking your path and keeping you from going forward.
Final thoughts
And there you have it – four effective morning meditations that will guarantee you start your day on the right track.
Which of these is the best morning meditation will naturally depend on you and what you want. You can even if listen to all of them if you have the time.
I’ve tried that once or twice before and when I did, my days were pretty fantastic, things went well and nothing could go wrong.
I absolutely love these meditations and I’m sure you will too.
Enjoy!
Hello Kevin,
Thanks for the post and giving all information.
I do morning meditation, but sometimes, I lack in concentration. Do you advise me for some tips on that?
Thanks,
Manny
Hi Manny, thanks for commenting. Are you thinking of something specific or do you just find yourself drifting?
